Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026
Orlumiere Ltd (“Orlumiere”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services, in order to provide you with a curated shopping experience (the “Services”). Orlumiere is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase or other transaction using the Services, or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information.
For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, Orlumiere Ltd is the data controller of your personal information.
Personal Information We Collect or Process
When we use the term “personal information,” we mean information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you. Personal information does not include information that is collected anonymously or that has been de-identified so that it cannot identify or be reasonably linked to you.
Depending on how you interact with the Services, we may collect or process the following categories of personal information:
- Contact details, including your name, email address, phone number, billing address, and shipping address.
- Payment and transaction details, including payment method type, transaction status, payment confirmation, and other payment-related details. Card and payment account details are processed by Shopify Payments and related payment providers; we do not store full payment card numbers.
- Account information, including your login details, preferences and settings, and saved addresses.
- Transaction information, including the items you view, put in your cart, add to your wishlist, purchase, return, exchange, or cancel, and your past transactions.
- Review information, including your first name and the content of any product review you submit, which may be published on the Services.
- Communications with us, including information you include in customer support enquiries, Shopify messaging, or other correspondence.
- Device and usage information, including information about your device, browser, or network connection, your IP address, and other identifiers, as well as how and when you interact with the Services (including through Shopify analytics).
- Virtual try-on information: if you use our virtual try-on feature, your device camera is used in your browser to overlay jewellery. Camera frames and try-on images are processed on your device. We do not upload, store, or share try-on photos or camera frames. We may receive anonymous usage events about the feature (for example, that try-on was opened or used), which do not include your photos.
Whether You Must Provide Personal Information
Certain personal information is required so we can enter into and perform a contract with you. For example, to accept and fulfil an order we need contact, delivery, and payment details. If you do not provide this information, we may be unable to process or deliver your order.
Creating an account is optional because guest checkout is available. Newsletter signup, product reviews, wishlist use, and virtual try-on are optional. If you choose not to provide optional information, you may still browse and purchase, but you may not be able to use those optional features.
Personal Information Sources
We may collect personal information from:
- You directly, including when you create an account, check out as a guest, place an order, sign up to our newsletter, submit a review, use wishlist or account features, communicate with us, or otherwise provide personal information.
- Automatically through the Services, including from your device when you visit or use the Services, and through cookies and similar technologies.
- Third parties where appropriate, such as Shopify, payment providers, review providers, delivery providers, or other service providers, where information is provided to us in connection with your transaction or use of the Services.
How We Use Your Personal Information and Legal Bases
Depending on how you interact with us, we may use personal information for the following purposes, under the legal bases below:
Provide, tailor, and improve the Services
We use personal information to provide the Services, process payments, fulfil orders, arrange shipping, facilitate returns and exchanges, create and manage your account (including saved addresses and wishlist), remember preferences, enable product reviews, provide on-site product recommendations, and improve the shopping experience.
Legal basis: performance of a contract; legitimate interests in operating and improving our store.
Marketing
We send marketing emails only where you have opted in (for example, via newsletter signup). You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails. We do not currently send marketing by SMS, WhatsApp, or post. If you opt out of marketing, we may still send non-promotional emails about your account or orders.
Legal basis: consent.
Customer support and communications
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, provide support (including via Shopify messaging), and maintain our relationship with you.
Legal basis: performance of a contract; legitimate interests in providing effective customer service.
Security and fraud prevention
We use personal information to help authenticate accounts, provide a secure shopping experience, and detect, investigate, or take action regarding possible fraudulent, illegal, unsafe, or malicious activity. If you register an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. We recommend that you do not share your login details with anyone else.
Legal basis: legitimate interests in protecting our business, customers, and the Services; legal obligation where applicable.
Product reviews
If you submit a product review through Judge.me, we and Judge.me may process your review content and your first name. Reviews you submit may be published on our website and visible to other visitors. Do not include information in a review that you do not want to be public.
Legal basis: performance of a contract / legitimate interests; consent where required.
Virtual try-on
Our virtual try-on feature runs in your browser. Camera frames and try-on images are processed on your device and are not uploaded to, stored by, or shared with Orlumiere. Your browser or device may ask for camera permission; that permission is separate from GDPR. Where we receive anonymous analytics events about use of the feature (which do not include your photos), we process those events to understand and improve the feature.
Legal basis for analytics events: legitimate interests in providing and improving try-on (and consent where cookie/analytics rules require it).
Legal and compliance reasons
We may use personal information to comply with applicable law (including tax and accounting requirements), respond to valid legal process, investigate or participate in legal proceedings, and enforce our terms or policies.
Legal basis: legal obligation; legitimate interests in establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
We may use automated processing for ordinary store operations, such as on-site product recommendations, analytics, security and fraud prevention. We do not currently use such processing to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.

Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, keep your session secure, and understand how the Services are used (including Shopify analytics). We do not use non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies unless you have given the consent required by applicable law. You can manage your preferences through our cookie preferences / privacy banner.
You can change or withdraw cookie consent at any time via the banner controls and, where available, your browser settings. Withdrawing consent should be as easy as giving it. Essential cookies needed for the site to function do not require consent.
For more detail on the cookies we use, please see our Cookie Policy.
Third-Party Websites and Links
The Services may include links to websites or platforms operated by third parties. If you follow those links, you should review their privacy and security policies and terms. We are not responsible for the privacy or security of those sites. Information you share on public or semi-public venues, including social platforms or published reviews, may be visible to others.
Children’s Data
The Services are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances where applicable law requires additional protections or consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable Irish and EU data protection law.
Security and Retention
